I found the colors in this pan of veggies irresistible. (Toss with oil and add salt and roast in the oven until desired tenderness.) But the colors work nicely - don't you think? The two orange-yellow tones are winning over the deep green of the broccoli. If you look at a color wheel, this is almost a split complimentary. The color green is on one side and on the opposite side you have two kinds of oranges. The potato and cauliflower are neutrals. In fact, everything in the photo is a neutral - except the oranges and greens. I love color - but they often work best with neutrals. This color scheme worked well in this kitchen of a home built in 1900.
